If terminal plans, I/O lists, software versions and responsibilities are first discussed on site, commissioning time is quickly lost. The essential project baseline should be aligned before arrival.
Useful documents for the start
Depending on the plant, these include current electrical drawings, I/O lists, functional descriptions, network overviews, software backups, open FAT items and a clear list of equipment available for testing.
Document test results clearly
A structured test workflow supports acceptance and makes it visible which items are complete, where other disciplines are still required and which changes must be transferred back into software and documentation.
